How can I increase my vertical jump and core strength?

I'm an outside hitter on my school's volleyball team. My coach said that I have a good hitting technique, and that I could hit even harder if I increased my vertical jump and core strength. I don't have access to a place where I can lift weights, so what can I do on my own to improve?

for core strength do yoga! my high school volleyball team has like 4 yoga mondays a season where for half of the practice they teach us yoga to help with balance and core training/strength. you wouldn't believe how much it has helped us. now our whole team moves faster, jumps higher, has better balance, better passing and setting techniques, and an overall better team unity.
