Do 20 inch rims fit any 20 inch rim tires?

I found a set of tires, but I'm ordering the rims from another place. The rims I've picked out are 20 inch rims and says they are 20X8.5 and the tires say they can hold rims 7.5-9.5. Will they fit? I know this is probably a dumb question but just before I fork out the money I want to make sure.

Right, so long as the wheels will fit the car, per the manufacturers specifications. Then the tires will fit the wheels per the spec's you gave.

You can alway ask a local wheel and tire shop to give you a quote on the wheels and tires you want and they can tell you if they will fit or not. Then order what you want from whomever you want.

Check with Tire Barn if you have one near you.
