Is layering a t-shirt over a polo fine for girls?
I'm kinda sick of my wadrobe and am trying to invent new ways to wear my clothes. Layering seems to be the best option to create various new looks but I'm afaid the colour combinatons might might go awfully wrong.
Also, besides layering a t-shirt/tank top over a long sleeved tee, and a tank top over a t-shirt, can girls layer t-shirts over polos? I know this seems to work well for the boys but is it ok if girls do it as well? Will it look too tomboyish?
And if this layering technique works for girls, what sort of colours should I go with?
Lastly, any other layering techniques to recommend besides the ones mentioned above for Summer wear?
I would personally prefer to layer a vest (either a knit pullover or button down in leather, cashmere, or suede). I also prefer to layer a t-shirt under a polo, but never over because it creates a bulky and unflattering look---plus it adds pounds. If you're bored with your wardrobe, I would suggest buying a few vests---they're versatile and you can get them in almost any style from punk to prep to biker.....Also get some new accessories---belts are a big one but so are necklaces.
