Do you know anyone who received a personalized wedding gift with a name spelled wrong?
With so many engraved, embroidered, or otherwise customized wedding gifts available, a misspelling MUST have happened at some point. Have you seen one?
Yes, my best friend from prep school, Hunter, received as a wedding gift from his in-laws-to-be an engraved sterling silver serving platter that was supposed to have the names of himself and his spouse-to-be on the same, along with the date of the nuptials. Well, for reasons unknown, the platter in question was delivered with the engraving but with "Humpty" substituted for "Hunter". Strangely, according to Hunter, no one to date has ever said a word about the error to the in-laws; and the platter has been used regularly on special occasions.
